Heath McKinley, an Australian photographer, is known for his work in both portrait and landscape photography.
He skilfully captures moments using medium format film as well as 35mm digital formats. His portfolio showcases a diverse range of subjects and styles, reflecting his artistic vision and technical expertise.
In addition to his photography, Heath has been actively involved in sharing knowledge and insights within the photography community.
As a Product Specialist for Sony Australia & New Zealand, he has travelled extensively supporting Filmmakers & Content Creators with expert knowledge and hands on training. Covering all Cinema Line cameras including beginners with the FX30 all the way up to industry professionals on major motion pictures with the Venice & Venice 2.
Furthermore, Heath has contributed to Imprint Magazine, where his work was featured in an article titled “From the Wild Ocean”. The article chronicles the experiences of artist Barbie Kjar during her two-part residency on King Island, Tasmania. The piece appeared in the autumn 2023 issue of the magazine.
Heath is also a long-time collaborator with fine art photographer Jane Burton, working extensively as her digital re-toucher and file prep technician for gallery exhibitions including the prestigious Ballarat Biennale.
